Well the past month has flown past! To update, after my last post we continued with lessons as normal for a few more weeks. Before we knew it we had completed the syllabus for each of the four Module 1 subjects (Pof, M&B, Met and Hp). It was a good feeling knowing that we had completed the content so we could just go off and revise, revise revise ready for the exams. Just before mock week I had a visit from some family members which was lovely, giving me a short break from the studying.

2 weeks before the exams we had our mocks or as their known at L3 CTS, the school finals. It was our first experience of a stressful exam experience for our ATPL's. Saying that I managed to pass all 4 and with some decent scores too. This boosted my confidence in my own ability and it really motivated me even more to work hard and smash the real exams when it came to it. The week before our EASA exams we had a self study week which gave us some time to really focus on the areas that we were struggling with. I decided to work on 2 subjects per day which worked well.

Monday 12th June, my first set of ATPL exams! The day started with Principles of flight at 11:30 and then Meteorology at 13:30. I felt relatively happy with both of them however they were not easy exams and both were equally challenging in their own right. The following day, I had Mass & Balance at 9am, nice and early, which then gave me a 6 hour gap afterwards to prepare for Human Performance which started at 4pm. I felt relatively happy with Hp however was slightly concerned about M&B as it's such a calculation heavy exam, of which quite a few are 2 markers, if you drop a few you can quite easily fail, and I did have a number of questions I was unsure about!

Once the HP exam had finished, I signed out and drove back home down south. It was great to get away from Coventry and I had really been looking forward to getting back home and enjoying a few days break to see the family who I hadn't seen in 2 months and a chance to refresh ready for Mod 2!

This morning was by far a very stressful one, waiting for the results to come through was by no means enjoyable! Anyway, they did eventually come through and I'm over the moon to have passed all 4 Mod 1 subjects with an 88% average! 4 down, 10 to go!
