Christmas update 🎄

Hey guys, first things first Merry Christmas!!!

So as you may have noticed I have not posted about my selection day 2 with easyJet that I was waiting for. Well the reason for this is because... I'm still waiting on a date to become available.

When I was at day 1 selection back in September, CTC said that they didn't expect to post any dates on the application dashboard until October/ November time. Unfortunately, due to the number of applicants, I can only assume that they are busy and not been able to open up dates to those of us waiting as of yet.

In the meantime I've been revising for the interview and group exercise for what is just over 3 months now. I took a few days off after finding out I had passed day 1 and then started on preparing for day 2. I've been scouring the internet for as much information as I can possibly find in relation to easyJet, CTC and interview/ group exercise tips and advice. I've made a number of revision packs with competency interview examples from my selection with Virgin Atlantic as well as comprising a rather large document about easyJet with all the current facts and figures such as profits, routes, aircraft and future plans. While also revising the impact that Brexit will have on easyJet. For those of you unaware, easyJet will need to gain an AOC in another EU state as Britain has decided to leave the EU. This would enable them to continue to fly their routes as normal.

Due to the wait for selection day 2 taking longer than expected, I decided to apply to easyJet back in November for the role of cabin crew. This would also act as a fantastic back up should day 2 selection not go to plan. Anyway, I received an email about a week or two ago to say that I had passed the assessment as cabin crew (CC) with easyJet and that I have been placed in the hold pool for a position based out of Stansted. Obviously should the GePTP all work out then I will without question commence with that. But the CC opportunity will at least give me experience within the industry and easyJet if things don't work out at the moment with regards to pilot training.
